Helping Kea with the Construction of a Predator Proof Fence

After discovering a Kea nest in one of our forests Tasman Pine, the Kea Conservation Trust and some keen volunteers built a predator proof fence and installed traps around the nest site to protect chicks until they fledge. We successfully fledged one chick in the first year and have high hopes of ongoing protection for future breeding.
